1About these terms

If you don’t agree with these terms, please don’t use MeetAlice. We may provide additional terms for specific features; where they apply, they form part of this agreement. If there’s a conflict, the additional terms apply for that feature.

2What MeetAlice is (and isn’t)

MeetAlice is a personal-organisation assistant for families. You forward emails and messages to a dedicated family address, and we read them and turn them into events, reminders, a calendar and a family profile, and send you notifications.

MeetAlice is a helper, not a replacement for your own attention. It does not read your mail for you in any official capacity, does not guarantee it will capture everything correctly, and is not a substitute for reading important communications from schools, clubs or other organisations yourself. You remain responsible for your family’s commitments, deadlines and payments.

3Who can use MeetAlice

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to use MeetAlice. It is intended for parents, guardians and other adults organising family life. By using it, you confirm you meet these requirements.

4Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details and device secure; you’re responsible for activity under your account.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Tell us promptly at support@quidvista.com if you think your account has been compromised.
  • A family may have more than one member. If you invite others, you’re responsible for making sure they’re entitled to see the family’s shared information.
  • You can remove your account from Family → your profile → Remove account. Another adult can be removed from their profile with Remove from Family. If you are the last adult and you remove your account, the family is removed too. There is also a public delete-account page.

5Your content and responsibilities

“Your content” means everything you forward or add to MeetAlice. You keep ownership of it. You grant us a licence to host, process and analyse it only as needed to provide the service to you and your family, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for making sure that:

  • you’re entitled to forward the content, including where it relates to other people;
  • where the content relates to your child, you provide it as their parent or guardian; and
  • you only forward what’s reasonably necessary to organise your family.

6Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use MeetAlice for anything unlawful, harmful or abusive;
  • forward content you have no right to share, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service;
  • use MeetAlice to build a competing product, or resell it, without our permission; or
  • use it on behalf of an organisation without our agreement — it’s designed for personal, family use.

7Reliance on Alice

MeetAlice uses automated processing and artificial intelligence to interpret your content. AI is powerful but imperfect: it can miss items, misread dates, mis-attribute things to the wrong person, or summarise inaccurately.

You should treat everything Alice produces as a helpful draft to check, not a guaranteed record. Always verify anything important — such as payment deadlines, medical details and event times — against the original message. We’re not responsible for consequences of relying on the service without checking (see Disclaimers and liability).

8Free trial, fees and cancellation

MeetAlice is offered as a subscription with a 60-day free trial. After the trial, it costs £4.99 per month per family — a single subscription that covers everyone in your household. Prices include VAT where applicable.

  • You won’t be charged during the free trial, and we’ll aim to remind you before it ends.
  • Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription continues at £4.99/month until you cancel.
  • Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are managed there — including cancellation, which takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Payments are handled by Apple or Google under their terms; we don’t see or store your card details. Refunds are subject to the relevant store’s policy and your statutory rights.
  • We may change our prices in future. If we do, we’ll give you clear advance notice, and any change applies from your next billing period — never retroactively.

9Availability and changes

MeetAlice is actively developed. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may introduce reasonable limits or changes to how it works, and we’ll aim to give notice of significant changes. We can’t promise the service will always be available or uninterrupted.

10Intellectual property

MeetAlice, including its name, the “meetAlice” logo, software, design and content (other than your content), belongs to QuidVista Ltd or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended purpose while you comply with these terms. You may not copy, modify or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

11Third-party services

MeetAlice relies on third-party services (for example cloud hosting, AI processing, email delivery, push notifications and sign-in providers). Your use may also depend on services we don’t control, such as your email provider and mobile network. We’re not responsible for third-party services, and their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them.

12Disclaimers and liability

MeetAlice is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will capture or organise your content completely or accurately.

We are not liable for:

  • anything you missed because you relied on MeetAlice instead of the original message — for example a missed payment, deadline, appointment or event;
  • loss caused by third-party services outside our control; or
  • indirect or unforeseeable loss.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. If you use MeetAlice as a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect, and nothing here removes those statutory rights.

13Suspension and termination

You can stop using MeetAlice and remove your account at any time from Family → your profile → Remove account, or via meetalice.io/delete-account. If other adults remain, family diary content stays for them (shown as Former member). If you are the last adult, the family is removed. Hidden copies are permanently erased within 90 days. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we need to for security or legal reasons, or if we stop offering the service. Where we reasonably can, we’ll give you notice and a chance to export your data (email privacy@meetalice.io). Terms that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property and liability) continue after your account ends.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll change the “last updated” date and, for significant changes, give you reasonable notice in the app or by email. If you keep using MeetAlice after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms. If you don’t agree, you can stop using MeetAlice and delete your account.

15Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — except that, if you’re a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing here affects your mandatory local consumer rights.
